Rafael Reyes Acevedo, conductor & brass faculty

Rafael Reyes Is a conductor, educator, euphonist, and music entrepreneur, from the National University of Music of Peru. With a trajectory that intercepts multiple disciplines, Rafael Reyes Acevedo consolidates the pace in the foundation of a rising industry. His pedagogical dynamics and entrepreneurial vision are the virtues that accompany his faculties in musical conducting and education.

In July 2018, he attended the «AEYTB 2018 Festival» organized by the Spanish Association of Tubas and Euphoniums in the city of Madrid, Spain. In June 2019, he participated in the «Fundamentals of Orchestral Conducting Workshop. In 2021, he was a guest conductor at the «Por Esto Cantamos Juntos» Festival in Pasto, Nariño, Colombia, where he conducted the city’s orchestra and led an orchestral strengthening workshop for students and music teachers.

He is currently working as a conductor and teacher in the American School Franklin Delano Roosevelt and the Orchestra, Band, and Choir of the Tempo School of Music. He managed the previous editions of the Lima Conducting Workshop, starting with a formal six-month – course in 2021.
